PRINTING A RIPPED FILE to Canon 7200

Can anyone tell me how to 'print' over TCP to the Canon Best Color w7200 from our XP PRO Xitron box to a networked w7200 running Windows 2000 server?

The server which runs the w7200 ( a Dell server) does not see the device as a printer even though it is attached to it.

I can "see" the published print settings like "proof paper" and "proof paper gloss" and so on but actually connecting is another story.

A Xitron person tried to tell me I would need a client to connect and print but we are able to print from any Macintosh using the supplied PPD file as a driver.

PPDs in Windows -- can it be that simple maybe?

The w7200 is connected to the print server via ethernet cabling (crossover) and the Dell that the w7200 resides on is connected to the mac and the RIPPs via ethernet and TCP and APPLETALK.

XP no longer supports appletalk natively.

Idears?

I haven't messed with canon but we have a HP5500 doubleproof and an Epson 10,600 running proofs from a Xitron box. In both cases there are special screening stages and specific queues that were installed to send proofs to both devices and it was something I had help with from tech support. My guess is it isn't as simple as just printing to it as a local printer.
