Here, at work, we use norton. I never really see a problem with viruses on the Macs. The P.C's thats another story, virus and security problems often. At home on a P.C. I use McAffee, works great considering i use napster and Kazza and lots of crap gets in.
My 2 cents

AVG at home (it's free for personal use, can't beat that!) and SonicWall at work.

Not being a PC person I went to a lot of ITs and asked them to recommend a good search and destroy program, since we allow a lot of our customers access to our front room PC so they can download files and access mail. I wanted to be able to come in afterward and "clean house" This link is where they pointed me and I have been very impressed with it. Along with Norton System works (Anti-Virus included) I feel somewhat secure with them.

It's FREE and if you like it and use it the author only askes for a contribution of any amount to further the cause.
Read the reviews and see for yourself. I use it every day and have found and deystroyed many possible viruses and other problems.

In my opinion right now Microsoft has the best Anti-Spyware/Partial virus protection right now. You can download it for free from the Microsoft website. (Note: they didn't make this and that is why it works so well. They bought a company that designs it, and put their name on it.) Then I also use AVG since it is also free and does a good job. I have ran Nortons recently and it slowed everything down a lot. I had to uninstall it to get my system performance back up.

Spybot works very nicely on spy/ad ware. It's good at narrowing down
where the problem file is, and can allow you kill processes on startup
so they can be manually deleted if they are stubborn. I think it's at it's
best when used in combination with Move on Boot, a handy liitle utility
that will move or delete files before the Winodws OS actually loads. I have
had sucess using this combo, at least.

It's not really anti-virus software, but it's noteworthy.

I have had the best luck with first running LaLvasoft AdAware, and then running ClamWin. Both are free tools, however ClamWin is a open source tool (ClamAV) that protects a lot of the email gateways on the internet. It's small, it's fast, it is constantly being updated. Virus defs can be downloaded every hour if you choose. One of the nicer "features" it has is that there aren't any viruses written to kill it like Norton or other tools. I use it to protect all of my PC's, even the laptop one of my clients has me using. Even though they already have virus protection on it.

Ditto on both products. Spyware and adware are a thing of the past on my system as are viruses. Still have to be NOT stupid though.
