It's not so bad.. unless it's a lot of pages.
We got 2 in this morning. Both layered .PSDs 1 layer for each page, 12pgs total.
Place the layered file one time, copy & paste in place to each page - go back to pg 1 and adjust the Object Layer Options for each page to show the correct layer for that page. That's how we do it... but PDF or INDD would have been easier... oh well

Yep same for layers in Illy files. Not a big deal, unless they don't tell ya what they did.

Yea.. it helps if the layer name is say.... the page number!
I got one a few weeks ago that was named layer 1, layer 2, layer 3....
Little more time in that one.

Don't EVER, EVER, EVER enourage ANYONE (Adobe or others) to create a mulitpage plugin for photoshop.
I can't really think of anything more horrid! What a nasty thought! Just think of a whole new generation of designers who only have to learn ONE program! And you KNOW they'll appear as well as I do....
BLECH!

Glad I read this yesterday. Today I got my first Illy file with layers to separate pages. Never would have seen the other page if I hadn't thought to check the layers. I hope this isn't a new way of trying to get around learning the proper program. (Indesign!)
Thanks guys!

Not every customer has the money or does enough printing to buy InDesign, and I'd sure as hell rather get an Illy file over a lot of other formats.

Watch out for multiple "document TABS" in Quack too!

If you do find a Quark doc with multiple tabs, then split the document in to single documents if you can. I t will save you some confuxion and a few headaches. Good call though Born
