You probably know it by another name, I'm guessing, pspdfppd. I mainly encounter them in PDFs where say, a logo, from Illustrator, has been saved to Overprint, instead of Knockout, on cmyk, [or whatever combination of them...could be K only], but is meant to print as a white reverse....i.e. it disappears.
Its values in Illy would be 0,0,0,0/cmyk...but, its Attributes have been left on O'print. Bye bye logo.
Worker72a's PlugIn warns you, when you open an Illy file, that this situation exists.

There's a chance. I suppose I'm going to have to move to "the dark side" eventually. I'll post here when/if it's available.

Thanks for your interest.

OK, I looked in our Apogee settings and there is a box to "force white Knockout" which is always checked so I guess that's why I've never seen the problem.

Angry

Gotta post this, briefly. Got some nasty white OPs in a PDF, picked up by checking OP on/off in Advanced...the usual. Opened the offending paths in ILLy, just for a quick look/see, via Touch Up Objects Tool. Couldn't work out why WOPD didn't alert on opening. Back to PSP/Inspector, find that the f@^%*#ing designer has got values C=0, M=0, Y=0, K=0.05. Ya can't win.

LOL...I think this falls under the category that the more idiot proof you make something the world will create better idiots.
