Font Identifier

I haven't tried What the Font... I'll keep it mind next time i'm font-ifying.

I've used identifont tho, and it works reasonably well. Can be a little frustrating sometimes, as the questions it uses to identify the font work better the more sample letters of the font you have.

Thanks to all for the suggestions/websites! FONTS are my nemesis!

Just respond to few question about some caracters and identifont.com find the right font.

good afternoon,

WhatTheFont sounded great, so i just tried it, and it seems pretty hit-or-miss to me (mostly miss). i just made a screen shot of common Helvetica text and it gave me several bizarre matches, like "Tirana Regular" and "Orcin Sans Regular" and many others, except Helvetica. Maybe they figure if you can't recognize Helvetica, you have bigger problems.

I tried 5 different fonts and didnt get one correct match back.

You all have a lot of success with this site?

as a follow up, i did a test with helvetica to IdentiFont and got "EF DIN 1451 Eng Neu" as my result.

I have never, ever seen it get the font correct. And I've tried.
