Acrobat Pro/Std. numbering..easy????!

The method that I have come up with to number/double number.
Create PDF file with appropiate number of pages(10 or 100are easiest to work with.)
1. Create text box (label START) place in the desired position of number. (format as number)Type in "1"(helps make sure everthing ok when creating other text boxes.)Copy and paste if double number.
2.Create Text boxes with numbers,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,20,30, label them +1,+2, +3, +4, +5,etc. Make them hidden/does not print, locked.
3. Create text box for the next number (usually on the next page in the same position). Calculate -text box- value is the sum (+) of the following fields. "Start", +1.
Continue this for the rest of the numbers. -"Start", +2- "Start", +3 "Start" +4 "Start, +5 etc.....(hint Start, +20, +30 = 51 if numbering begins with 1)
When all number text boxes have been created enter beginning number into "start" text box. All numbers should appear in consecutive order (1 -10 if 10 pages 1-up.1-100 if 100 pages 1 up).(might have to print in reverse order depending on machine)
Placement on muliple up #s should match the job design/bindery dept wishes.
This method will number jobs in sets of 10 or 100.
Print in sets of 10 or 100 changeing "start" number appropiately.(hint -enter 11 into "Start" box for next set for 10 pages 1-up).
You can be place onto existing PDF file to be printed in one pass, or printed as a separate run on to preprinted job.
You can "start" with any number 1, 125, 54321001, etc and numbering should work.
This takes a little time to set up but once completed it is possible to rearrange for other jobs. I have Number set-ups for 1-up(Purchase orders), 4-up(double # tickets), 8-up(Double # raffle tickets). 3 part NCR-(hint- Copy and paste each text box to get 3 of the same number on different pages).These set-ups cover almost every numbering job we get.
