This probably isn't quite in the spirit of the thread, but there is one free program I couldn't live without and that's Mail. Iknow some people hate it, but I love it, apart from the Tiger version.

NeoOffice/J is handy if you don't have proper Office and Panther Cache Cleaner or Tiger Cache cleaner are useful.

Desktop manager

Desktop Manager

This one is sooooo cool, it's like working a 4-5 different computers at once, it allows you to switch screens without switching users so you can have a e-mail screen, a Photoshop, Illustrator and internet all at the same time and toogle between them, it's a must-have.

Being in digital printing, we also do variable, personalized printing. I'm not an expert in Excel, but the free ASAP Utilities makes me LOOK like one!

This has probably been posted here already, and I'm too lazy to read the other two pages of postings. And if I already posted it myself, just shoot me now.

Print Window for Mac OSX. Print the file listing of any directory, and neat ways to format the data.

Got this "somewhere" on PPF few months ago. Great for when you have to throw the odd 2 up or 4 up thing into the RIP. Indy plug-in (free). Buried in Adobe's Byzantine web site. (Guess they ARE as big as the Byzantine Empire anyway). Drag it round your job and throw the trims'n'col bar blocks out like it's confetti...best if you've got guides in place for them to snap to.

BTW, anyone know why I get a message about "too many clients" when I try and install (or successfully download, for that matter), Desktop Manager? After the raves here was keen to try it. We have 2 app Macs, a third for PREPS/BlackMagic, a fourth for the RIP. Anything to do with it? All on 10.3.9; trying to download the appropriate stable version, (0.5.3?) 8O
