Red face Trapping Issues with drop shadows TF3V3.12 tf266

Generally we build the PS from ID CS3. Distilling using PDFX1a. The PDF looks great, no problem.
Import the PDF and run through the normal CMYK Ticket. We use the Trap Editor(trail version) just to view the trapping. A small thin line shows outlining the object that has the drop shadow. And it will print on our Epson and the plates.
My object is a white box laying on top of a photo. The drop shadow is attached to the white box. So TF trapping is reading the area that contains the dropshadow as if it is white. This was the explanation I got from TF. They didn't have a fix for it. Just to turn the trapping off. I am suppose to send it in to the R&D department.
Anyone else???

Thanks
APRIL

Do you get the same results if you export to pdf instead of the PS route?
