Trueflow and Acrobat 7
Anyone able to save .pdf's out of acrobat 7, dosen't matter what version and have trueflow accept it? We have narrowed down the issue of "abortion with no report during input stage"> to files being saved from Acrobat 7. Indesign>remake pdf is reliable workaround. We think trueflow will need to create a patch for this and make it compatable with Acrobat 7. Any thoughts and suggestions from all you intellegent types in here, welcomed. Thanks ya'll!

Sounds like a pain-in-the-a** to me. Does this mean every job you do will require the INDD 'workaround'?
Do you have any other versions of Acrobat? 4,5, or 6? Have you tried .pdfs from them?

We are searching for an answer to the problem, so I may have to go into InDesign everytime, for now. I have tried Acrobat 6 and it RIPPED fine, so it is just files saved out of Acrobat 7(possibly with the combo of pitstop) Recent version of Trueflow is roughly year old Acrobat 7 >4months so, i dunno. but let me know if you guys know.

I'd just stick with Acrobat 6.x for now. Let Trueflow get their 'ducks in a row' and then go to 7.x. You will not miss out on that many features.
just my .02

So Acrobat 7 and Trueflow 3 have issues? That's good to know. I was just discussing upgrading to CS 2 with the moneyman. I think I'll hold off on installing 7 until Screen issues a patch.

yep. Good Idea to hold off. I'm putting 6 back on my G5 so I don't have to remake the pdf's out of Indesign everytime. Thanks _vee I always appreciate your .02.

What am I missing?
Why don't you have a optimise setting in acrobat that saves as pdf 1.5?

It's been like half a year since the forum on the trueflow - acrobat 7 issue ended, still I'm having the same problems, after half a year!!! anyone's found a workaround???I'm getting more and more 7 files from designers and it's driving me crazy!!! Is there a pitstop action script to remove the jdf info in the acrobat 7 pdf? Or does the problem situate itself elsewhere...ppppplllleeeeaaaase help...
