A new term for prepress

I saw it the other day (can't remember were) and I think it would fit right into many of our workflows. Instead of WYSIWYG it could now be WYSIWTF...

Well, the most frightening is the term: "Commercially acceptable" the words that replaced quality 4/c seperations with what ever Jane the Secretary was able to capture on her HP Scanner at her desk.

LOL! Yep.
Clients do tend to like their own work...
but you're right about the fall of hi-end color, until more recent years where devices sophistication + Photoshop = pretty good color scans automatically.
But, alas, the craft is all but gone, wanna buy our "lovingly used" Screen DS757 drum scanner? It only takes up 2 rooms!
