He hid behind the fact that I told him off in production meeting for his lack of empathy for what the production crew has to go through to get one of his psycho customers satisfied. I used the 'f' word during my rant and I had to be the one to apologize for the whole fiasco.

But yes, he averted his gaze for days after that.

I worked at one place where they had a combo lock on the pre press door and did not give the combo to the sales people, but they are sly devils, one actually kicked in the door.

CSR can be just as annoying. One here actually "gave me permission" to go home one late night. I told her thank you but I think my supervisor might have something to say about that lol

Man does all this sound so familiar. Heres my best one yet. Picture this, the entire sales staff assembled for the monthly sales gripe session where they get to pick at the other departments. The subject of prepress comes around and and the only bitch they have is I (Manager of the department) am not nice enough to them and they feel intimidated. (Q) Is the work going out OK? (A) Yes, (Q) Is it going out on time or earlier (A) Yes, (Q) Are you even supposed to be in the department bothering me or my staff (A) No, (Q) Then why if your not supposed to be in the department does it surprise you I am upset? (A) There were blank "deer in the headlight" stares, it was f-ing unbelieveable.

I get that stare quite often then a tapdance around the issue. I get the 'bad attitude' sales pitch too. They have to stay the hell away from me to get anything done pertaining to my own department.

We make fun of our sales people so bad that they would rather send the CSRs to deal with us.

sales micromanaging....

well - they hired 3 sales reps recently here - and then there was one.....

one left
one was pushed
and the other is doing ok, but has the sales director (one of the new "chuckle brothers" bosses sons) so sussed i rekon he's looking for a new job as he's going to outsell the chuckle brother, thus be a threat - and then get the push....

crazy crazy situation.
