so let me see if i got this right ---

according to you-

America's workers suck
We are a weakening nation
American Companies are weak

my advice to you is to stop smoking that crack as it has affected your higher learning functions, that is the most idiotic thing I've ever read. I'd put up all I have against all you have that in 5 - 10 -100 years America will always "have the power" nothing I repeat nothing will ever steal our power base - and why? because the Amercian Citizen who creates that powerbase will not allow it. You have this huge misconception that this country is ONLY run by big business which is the farthest thing from the truth. We are also NOT an empire but a democracy -- the PEOPLE of our country dictate it's course at the end of the day not one person.

oh and one final little note...... that little thing you mentioned - The Internet - it was created HERE in this country.

I'm sorry Jim. I cannot argue with such blind ignorance.

Can you please answer me these:
1. Have you got a passport?
2. Have you ever stepped outside the US?
3. Have you ever read/watched any media that has originated outside the US?
4. If your 'democratically' elected president told you to stick your hand in the fire, would you?

I am so pro-America it is unbelievable that I have got into this argument. Politicians aside (they are all cunts on a global scale). But is it me? Have I got it so wrong?

Nah, it's just a really bad time to even hint of US bashing. Trust me we've been taking it up the rear for too long now, we have CEO's stealing retirement funds but getting humungous packages when they get "fired". Big business outsourcing to India so they can pay $2/hrs while making billions. Children with no schoolbooks and a President that could care less about education. Young men being killed for God knows what, and as the Goddess as my witness you can't tell me the government doesn't know where Osama bin Laden is. Jesus you see more of him on the evening news than Dan Rather. We're pissed with the double standard and we'll turn on you like a rabid dog. Which is pretty much what happened here. The only thing youve said that I would absolutely have to argue with is
Quote:
democratically' elected president
That just doesn't apply this time around.

Hence the inverted commas.

The UK/world is going through all the same shit but we, as individuals, must rise above it. It is our jobs on the line so we must change, not just once/twice but all the time. Never become complacent, the cheese will not always be there.

And once again we have no choice this election year either. One candidate that bashes our fighting men and women and bitches about so many jobs going out of the US when his wifes Ketchup is bottled in Mexico, and the other can't get enough illegal people in the United States, and doesn't know when to pull out of Iraq and Afganistan, which is turning in to another Vietnam. I'm writing in Bill Clinton at least he knows when to pull out. HAHAHA

Kerry and Bush both suck for various reasons. I know it will be a wasted vote but I'm voting for Ralph Nader. He can't win but he should. Think about it, his whole life has been spent tring to help the average American consumer, time for him to be rewarded with our support for all the work he's done for us.

I've been abroad to Germany, France and England. They all think this country is a joke. But they thought that 200+ years ago too and we all remember what happened then. Kinda reminds me of the Charlie Daniels song "God Bless America, again" just substitute "turban heads" for Russians and we are good to go. And it always amazes me how fast you people in Europe forget who saved your asses in two world wars. If it wasn't for us ugly Americans you would all be speaking German!
