DOUBLE STANDARD

Seems to me that most of these rants have a commonality: the injustice of the double standard. The scenarios run rampant here in my private hell... what more can we do, with how much less staff... while the ignorant, lazy attitudinal CSRs continually lower the bar. Makes me sick.
and bitter.
thank you.

welcome to the machine born2print...

yeah, double standards alright...

we have a saying here,

special rules for special people.

It's not uncommon for us to have to do extra work for those who can't (or just don't) do their job right.

cheers,
it can only get better...
yeah right

David

Here's a little secret. It's how you are related, how much smoke and mirrors you can spew forth (bullshit an ignorant boss) and where you put your nose. I'm sure this is a common problem in most production trades, people scrambling to keep their job and at the same time do nothing but give the impression they are key to the business. Some people are very good at this. Seen it many times.

yeah, I got the label "bad attitude" a long time ago.

only because I don't play political games and I don't lie or bullshit people.
I tell the truth, no matter who it is, own my mistakes, and I move on.

some people just can't get it through their heads that life can be so much easier if they just played by the golden rule.

We also have another saying around here...
it's not what you know,
it's not who you know,
it's what you know about who.

8O

and born2print,
here's you first one on the house,

of course I have to get the wait staff out...

and here's your drinks,

cheers!

Big D

"Dude" I don't wanna get all mushy on the first date, but you must be my long-lost twin brother <burp>...
thanks for the beers and (eye) candy

Jim

ps: how CAN'T we be at least a little bitter after 18 years of all this shizzle?

yes, you are allowed to be bitter, or maybe just pissed most of the time.

don't let it get you down, at some point, what goes down comes around, if you know what I mean.

Even me, with my "bad attitude", have outlived all the whiners.
I've been at this co. for 23 years now (in the biz for over 30), and almost every day someone will come up to me and ask me how I can put up with all the crap and bitchin'.

water off a ducks back.

and a lot of margaritas!

haha!
