Office Moron.
This happened a while ago, but it's annoying, and some of you can probably empathise with a laugh.
My sister who seems to love real estate has become an agent had a deal with a local company where they printed 500 A5 flyers for free advertising her services, and they had told her to go buy publisher, she asked me if I could help, I said "Umm, errr... how about I just make if for you" and I whipped up something in InDesign, created a press-ready pdf and emailed it to her.
Right. Anyway.
The company printing (just the real estate company, office printer) it had trouble with the pdf, for some reason they couldn't get it imposed 2 up on A4 sheet, single cuts, I asked my sister if they wanted it sent imposed and her reply was something along the lines of *shrug* "I dunno, I don't get all this computer stuff" riiight... I found out that it's printed on an A5 laser printer, so I dunno.
Apparently they somehow wrecked it, I guess the person printing it copy and pasted out of the pdf and into MS word or something because it looked different (never got to see the result, I'm too removed from the whole thing).
I discovered that they had been trying to place it in Excel for printing!
And here is the part that made me post this:
The woman trying to print it commented that "I don't think he knows what he is doing" !!!
