Brevity is the soul of wit

SlavetotheMan, how I wish it was in Indesign (My new favorite program). Nope stinking quirk 5 on a pc. Double the agony. I'm downloading that utility now. I have several designers with a bad case of logorrhea.
Pointyhat if I saw filenames like that I'd probably laugh my buttocks off and forgive you, maybe even buy you some chocolate.

Just finished a magazine for a bunch of engineers. I've seen longer names than this:
MTS Show Pass 1F-UP.07x48 CMY300LO.eps
But there are 132 links in the job all the same size or bigger.
Pointy we used to do that at the Magazine Publisher I used to work at until somebody burned a cd of a job and sent it back to the customer with an image folder full of pictures named things like "asshat at podium.tif"
Needless to say that habit got stomped really quick.

WTF

Our scanner guy, a real oldtimer and one of the best I know, names all of his raw scans by the page/position and calls them Working Tiff Files. All the kids in the department get a good laugh everytime they see something like: p03_TR-WTF.tif

The big question is does your connection work from Cedar Cottage? Because a beer sounds really good right about now.

I'd build a cedar cottage for a beer right now.
