12.34 Hours of OT!!!
Whew! I just finished an arduous workshift. Late Friday night I was called at home to work OT Saturday. And, after 12.34 hours I'm ready to call it a day! 8O    8O
The job involved was a 64 page, five-color brochure. We received PDF files as late as this afternoon - after 4pm! Now all proofs are out and I only had to run two nozzle checks on our two 9800s and one GMG calibration due to having to load a new roll and a light magenta ink cartridge to boot. Whew!!! 8O 8O 8O

Not usual, in the old days of film, to work that much OT in one day.
And still happens from time to time.
Your Normal 8 plus 12 OT=20

in the old days... I would do that in my lunch hour...
waitaminute.... I didn't get a lunch hour, not even a lunch minute!
we worked non-stop from sun up to sun down...
uphill in the snow both ways...
man... I'm tired just thinkin' about it!
8O
LOL
we don't get much overtime now-a-days, just the usual 37.5 hrs a week.
(no free lunches)

do you know how much money a year that adds up to... I give up my lunch quite often as well... luckily I have gotten into the habit of writing on my time card... NO LUNCH----> beside the day and have manager sign it.. then she doesnt subtract that time... of course I still get paid for the "research" I do here at Club PPF. ...not much of a company man at the present time. I can get pretty selfish with my time. There just never seems to be enough of it. however at my old job, I had one shift where one other guy and I stayed overnight to get the remaining 240,000 pieces of Sprint's junkmail address imaged and boxed, that shift ended up being a 22.5(6am-following 4:30am) hour shift. 8O NEVER AGAIN!!

This reminds me of that one time at my old job...
After working an 11 hour day, second shift, just as I was going to bed, I get a call from the shop, end up going back in, and I am there until 1st shift came in again in the morning. I think that ended up being 21 hours, not including the 3 hours when I was home. I think I came in for my normal shift the next(?) day too. 8O Wait, I don't seem to remember if I did or not...

When setting up the new site and building the team, I did 12 hours, knocked of for a couple of hours, (pub, couple of pints and food), went back in, did another 8, went to sleep in the upstairs office and then did another 12.
Many years ago, working on a newspaper launch I slept under my desk every day for a week
Aint prepress grand :?
