Worked from 3:30 pm Friday to 7:30 am Saturday. 16 hours, 12 jobs, 308 pages, 184 plates. Passed the owner on the way out and he comments, "What the hell are you still doing here?"!!!

These are all truely fascinating stories. I applaud every prepress tech who has put their job above and beyond all else - including restroom and lunch breaks. I believe that a good operator will put forth 250% effort into their job.
 HOORAY FOR PREPRESS TECHNICIANS!!!

I remember hearing a rumor about these things... The story goes that in some shops the work load/expectations allow the prepress operator to get up and walk out of the department for a short time to partake in things called "lunch", or "restroom break".
I don't know if it is true, but it is a good story.

That's an urban myth. I've heard it first when I was in seventh grade.

I'm confused too.
I've got a bucket under my desk and i eat coffee for lunch. I once broke the bucket, but i don't know of that's the same kind of "break" they're referring to.
