One of the csr's here started a run team for a local 10k run. The team name was supposed to be the Reruns. Needless to say management wasn't to keen on the name!

The one that makes steam come out of my ears is when a reps showin a customer around and say 'and when the jobs passed these guys press a button and out come the plates' :x

My old Journey Man phoned last night and as we reminisced about our days planning film for confectionary wrappers, he came out with something we used to say and I had nearly forgotten

"Remember, it's all fish wrap. The trick is not to tell the customer it's fish wrap." Said whenever a customer, CSR, or someone else starts taking a project to seriously. After all unless you're printing archival prints, it all ends up in a landfill or recycling center. We do packaging and dated catalogs and magazines. It's all FISH WRAP.

When ridiculous deadline jobs come in, "this has to print today" for example, I like to ask "would they like fries with that?"
And I've asked the owner several times when we're going to have the "drive through window" installed.

Can't wait to start using all the great stuff everyone contributed to this thread! My last month or so of prepress is going to have no shortage of great quotes...
