I just had a good on right now. I'm sitting a my machine surfing the internet and a csr is bugging me about a file, so I say:

"can't talk, I'm at lunch"

so I see him run over to my supervisor to cry about it, I might get fired today 8O

Here's one I use constantly:

"Sorry I haven't gotten to your project. I'm currently working on three hot jobs right now."

That's one thing that stops me dead in my tracks occasionally. We work hard and fret and worry about these jobs, and take major heat from bosses and clients when for most of it we could just as easily cut out the middle man and have a dumpster catch the shit as it comes off the press. Every now and then I need to be brainwashed back into thinking that this stuff actually has value to the end user...besides bird cage lining. I'm fine with the "if you going to do something, do it well" concept, but you gotta keep your priorities in check.

Yeah, everything I work on hits the shredder sooner than later, so pissing off the bossman is my purpose in life.

When the boss wants me to do something that I know won't work, or that
I don't want to do "You're the chief!" That pisses him off, and it pissed the
last boos off even more. Onto my second generation with that one
