I am always amazed at how much actually gets printed RIGHT! I catch major disasters in the making daily, too bad if one gets through now and again. How many times do you fellow prepress techs catch crazy things that should have got by, bad mail permits, wrong colorspaces, wrong press info on a work order, etc...

Haste makes waste, if the production manager and CS reps would give reasonable turnarounds we may have more time to catch this stuff.

Truer words have never been spoken. It shocks me when jobs come into my area
that you can just see are going to fail, but the client has to have it right away. I
usually can talk some sense into the sales rep / CSR's head, but not always.
There is only so much one can do to stop the wheels of dsestiny. I just document
what I see as the problem, then do my job by prepping, plating or running the piece.
Then move on to the next job while the chips fall where they may :roll:
