I've been approached on this website by private emails to give full versions of my Nexus Rip and Adobe CS. I informed Cory of one incident just to let him know it was going on.
I've also seen requests for this kinda stuff posted here. But I'm not going to go through every post to find them again. I gotta work sometime.
As for my private software, fully registered versions can be found via bit torrent clients and other countries websites. Some sites have our registration code information posted. Being a small company, we aren't going to try to take legal action against other countries that most likely don't follow the laws and agreements between most countries on such issues. And yes, our user agreement is listed in plain verbage that one copy per registration and distribution may only occur with full documentation in unregistered format.
To reply to Sparky, good man. (in stereotypical pirate voice) Arg! Pirating be bad.
If you think about the Adobe Suite, it only costs around $250 per program. The whole suite costs less than a good computer and is as much a tool as the computer itself
. How much profit is made off these programs? How fast does it pay for itself? I do photo manipulation in Photoshop for $100/hr, that makes it up real quick. Now Quark, $700 for a single application, that's outrageous. $150 for publisher! But I agree Sparky, it's hard to startup when your tools can cost so much.
My products are not out of reach for average consumers, nothing more than $15 a piece, and yet, pirated. So I'm not totally sure it's just based on price. We also make free of cost titles, of course we don't care if people pirate that...
