We have a production manager that always says "don't you just have to push a button?" One day I asked him "which one?"

Another famous line of his is "just spit out the film"...if only it were that easy!

I love it when the production manager comes in and tells me how long each job should take. He picks up a job ticket, hands it to me and says "this should only take you 15 minutes".

Three hours later.......

you have to go to Staples to get the Easy button..

Speaking of which, when was the last time going to Staples was "easy" that slogan kills me...it's anyting but easy.

I knew I'd get you all going! I see that we all seem to have the same manager/boss who doesn't know what's involved but seems to have a real good idea of how long it should take and looks real surprised when you're still working on the same job three hours later.

Keep the fun comments coming. We'll all have a good laugh when we most need it

Since we went DTP last year the new thing for our production manager is "Shoot out some plates on this."

Nevermind that it hasn't had EPS files made, or been ripped, trapped or proofed yet...

I'll process the files, however long that takes, and you'll have a proof to approve when I'm done - THEN we'll talk about shooting out some plates!!!

(BTW, does your head get as sore as mine from banging it on the desk repeatedly?)

It's amazing how this easy button, when pressed, makes my middle finger extend. It's magic!
