She want the quark doc so she can move pages around. Huh??? Why do you want to move pages around?? She's going to bookletize by hand!! Are you going to charge my client for this? Don't you have imposition software? Am i out of line to be freaked?
Not a good day to be pissing me off.

Since you are under such a tight deadline, why not just give the printer what she's asking for? Not much use trying to force her to do it your way when there's no time - if she screws it up doing it her way, it's her problem, not yours!

I won't be able to get it to her the way she wants it when he (the printer) wants it.

I couldn't have said it better. Find a production person to talk to and chances are you will get the truth not some sales bs.

I'm confused...wouldn't the Quark document be done before the PDF?

What about FTP? Do either you or the printer have one? What about couriers or the printer's delivery driver? 45 minutes is not that far away. If the printer needs it by a certain time, they should be willing to work with you to get the files in a timely fashion.

Since when is emailing a 1 color pdf such a bad thing? My whole point is i don;t want this chick screwing with my files. Moving pages around in quark by hand is a recipe for disaster.
