The general principal holds true even 60 years later. Printing is central to our lives, everything you see on the street/train/bus/supermarket/packaging has been printed and one of us had to do it.

Great find and interesting. The film was produced 10 years before I was born and 3 quarters of the equimpment was in use when I started in this business.
It was mentioned that printing was the 4th largest industry in the US in 1947, I wonder what it is today?

Wisconsin 30th in 2014, that's nice, I didn't know Wisconsin had printshops. I'll get it for that!  Well, 30th is not bad, could have been 230.

I believe we're the 3rd largest industry the last time PIA did a survey. Only behind transportation and food I think
