I am still trying to get my head around doing say, a color correction on some high dollar perfume ad....at 4:40 AM...on my 4th night in a row of 12 hours.

I talked to someone in the field, and she told me one of their lead guys jsut left(and took a job I was after at another place), and they had also just fired a person who had been there 20 years, for her "attitude"

I imagine one gets an attitude after 2o years of that shit lol...

little shop of horrors

I run a little shop. we lost our pressman, didn't pay enough/ he was not worth it. I would get to work at 8am do all the bindery from yesterday. then start on the press work. I would take lunch and dinner with the family. run the press till usually 9 or 10pm sometimes 1:00 am. go home sleep get up go to work. I did take sunday off. did that for about 8 months. luckily we live in a small town. 2 minute commute. Work with wife. son comes in after school. You can work yourself to death. Be thankfull for what you have. Don't kill yourself for money.

I worked night for a few years also. Running the 12 hours shifts. It was hell on the body and sleeping habits. No matter what they say you never get used to it. I just get used to feeling like crap.

Talking

Making myself invaluable today...with a smile (actually, I enjoy this type of thing)
complete system clean, lock down and ready for ship on a Dolev and OLP.
No tech call, all by my lonesome, I just wish I had a monkey to turn the water spigot on and off!!!
