Rampage JVX 10.2
Anyone out there using this? I'm interviewing for a job tomorrow and that's the RIP they use. Trying to see if there are any problems I should know about.

One of the TOP workflows on the market.
It makes life easy...very powerful...
The only problem is that once you become a rampager, it's a tough workflow to kick if you go someplace using another system...(those places more commonly referred to as HELL !!)
Rampage Systems, Inc.

gotta love consolidated graphics. i'm crossing my fingers that they'll offer me lots and lots of money.......realistically, a good job with a future would be very very nice.

I wouldn't hold your breath about lots of money from Consolidated, they are a publicly traded company and are bottom line oriented. I have experienced a consolidated takeover and its not pretty as far as wages go.

yeah, that was a little joke on my part. not about consolidated, just about making lots of money in the printing industry. but i do hope they offer me a living wage and an opportunity. this facility and the president looks like it has a lot of potential.

I'm running RAMPage here, took me about a week to feel comfortable using it.
Complete PDF workflow is nice, getting customers on board with PDF production is taking a while, but it's getting there. Good luck wit the job.

We'll see. I met with about 4 different people today including the new president. This particular plant is restructering a bit, the president has only been there about 2 months. But, he use to work for them before he was transferred to another location. So we'll see what happens. If anyone has read my rants about where I work now you'll know why I'm open to offers!

Top of the Workflow ?
I'm not sure because we got many problem with archive and export function of Pathway (lost of many jobs when saving) ; PageList (the index of all the folders) can be corrupt if you rip a PDF with a single "é" in the name (very used in many language, ex. French). So you need to stop all operator, rebuild PageList (that can be long - twenty minutes for 14000 folders)
a single page in PDF ripped create 162 files and folders (imagine how can work Windows 2003 server with thousand and thousand files...)
Rampage is like a Ferrari, but one day, the engine won't start, the other day you can't open the door...
We use Rampage since 1 year and half (from 10.2 to 10.4 build 37)
Top of the workflow ? maybe in few years...
