Rampage 10.2 > 10.4 issue???

Hello, I just installed the 10.4 update today (saturday 5/26) from 10.2 on all rips, rpds, etc

I figured I'd get a jump on next week, but I'm having an issue I was hoping I could get feedback on.

The install went fine. All apps indicate 10.4b34.

I loaded the new OSX client 10.4b9. This is where the problenm started. I immediately get an error: "the version of Rampage systems on volume "Rampage" (10.2) is lower than the allowed version of this software (10.4)"

it's like the new client isn't recognizing the new version 10.4.

any ideas what the problem might be?

Thanks for any input!

Hi Cory- No, I never considered that as a possibility.
I've done this plenty of times before and never had to, but I'll try that.

Had same issue. Called Rampage. They walked me through deleting certain files in the Rampage folder (something to do with having no longer used equipment still being recognized by Rampage as an old version). If you call them they will walk you through it (if you got the upgrade I assume your a have a service agreement with them and they will do the call for free). If not, it also might be mentioned on the Quicktime movie disk that they sent with the upgrade. Good luck.

I think it was Rampage/System Preferences/Boxes. Each folder within them indicates a box that is running a Rampage RIP/Shooter. If one of those boxes is not 10.4, the client won't work. The problem I had was that we had old boxes no longer used nor connected but that still showed up here. Rampage told me that the new client now checks here to make sure all boxes are upgraded. I'd call them anyway to confirm. They can tell you exactly what each box folder represents so you can delete or upgrade it.
