Rampage 9.3 trapping

Hey y'all...just a simple question regarding the new trapping. In the past, white type always was a knockout but with the new 9.3 it wants to choke, thereby losing the type altogether. What do you people have your trapping set up as? I've always set it as "Any" but it doesn't work with this version...

I could run some tests, but thought the experts out there have the instant answer!. Thanks in advance!

I would first check and see how rampage is seeing it...are you sure it's seeing it as type? and not a CMYK bitmap?

are your CT's set to choke?

I've had some problems with white text choking on me when it's a vector layer in photoshop..

Exactly...it was a vector layer in photoshop. Type pretty much disappeared on me. I've only been running 9.3 for a couple weeks now and was a little concerned that this may be bigger than a once-in-a-while thing. The CT was set to choke...

that's because the vector layer in PS isn't seen by RAMpage as a real vector, but as a bitmap.

We get this all the time, especially with ads. only thing to do is to either set your CT to knockout, or fix it in TRAP-IT. . . . . . cause I've had no luck getting designers to stop doing it
