Rampage Spot Definitions

Does anyone out there use spot color library in your Rampage for Proofing.
It would be found in the Rampage/Spot Definitions. What is the benefit? If any. It is a pain in the ?&%# to do create these.

I believe the advantage is that it will map multibles of the same spot color to one color. For example, PMS 300 cv, 300 cvu, 300 u, and it will map all to 300 C.

What it gives you is the ability to define spot colors as LAB values. If you have the
ICC package from Rampage you can simulate spot colors very accurately on
continuous tone proofers such as the Epson, so close in fact they come very
close to what the color will actually print on a press. We use the spot color library
for all our spot color proofs. You have the abilty to tweak the LAB values of any spot
color if a customer has a special ink mix they want to match on the proof.

Hey Tiger

are they the Pantone Color Bridge ones, or are they the older values?
