is there anyway to do custom screen angles in Rampage? have a screen printer wanting specific angles.

looking at the technotes it seems like it can't be done...

Unless you have other screening options installed, the RCS and Standard are the only options (and you only have 5 preset options-- as you know)

for silk screen work the best solution I found was to rotate the he artwork by the desired angle, then output it at 90°. When it's cut back down to square you'll have the right angle. It just takes more film to do.

One place I worked, we bought a custom screen angle from them. Give them a call and see what they can do.

yes you actually can do this in Rampage. It will depend on the lpi you need to output. Generally a screen printer will be able to use output film but your output has to be 7* difference than that of an offset shop. you will most likely output at no higher than 150 lpi and this is at the high end of the scale - if it's not 4/C screen printing then it will be between 40 - 65. Additionally your dot shape will impact the screen printer big time as the shapes that are used for offset don't always work well on a screen press due to the nature of how it prints. Check and see what screen mesh he is planning to use this for as that will also have a big impact on what you can attempt to give him. Of course your calibration will be off if you've never output at that low of a line screen.

Screen Printing is a whole different animal when it comes to output.
