I've used them all in my 27 years in this nightmare. Scitex Response>Scitex Prisma>Scitex Prismax>Hell Chromacom>various flavors of Screen systems>Contex>Barco plus one or two that were so s@#ty I wiped them from my mind. But I have to tell you after 10+ years of using Rampage I will never use anything else. I know some users argue that FAF was the best trapping because it was pixel based and not object based the way Rampage is, however in Rampages later releases there is a check box in the trap tab that allows Rampage to base its traps not only on objects but also pixel data. It slows the trapping a little but I always use it and have had no issues. We are a high end commercial printer with some fortune 100 customers and have never had a job come back from proofing with trapping issues. Their support is second to none, when you call you get someone immediately and for the money $1750 per year there is no per seat charge, so whether you have one RIP or twenty RIPs it still is only $1750 per year.
