EPS bleeds out of Indesign CS

Hi Everyone,

New member here who is very excited about finding this website.

Here's my question. Is there a way to export/print an eps out of Indesign CS so that Rampage will see the bleeds correctly? The bleed pallet in document setup doesn't do the trick and the bleed pallet in the export window increases the overall size of the document which is the way I go and then just use Preps to finalize the size. I would like to be able to work with bleeds the way they were meant to work within Rampage.

Thanks a million and I look forward to sharing with you all.

Currently running 8.6 soon to be 9.3 on mac os 9 and x

Jibbers

we are running Rampage 9.3 and bleeds show up just fine in indesign CS (Acts like quark, don't set bleed, rampage will use bleed amounts set in your profile)

i'm not sure if they have patched older versions yet or not..

ok, great, so it sounds as though this has been fixed in Rampage 9.3

I'll just keep doing what I have been doing until we get 9.3 set up and running

thanks

what version of ID? It works find for me with ID 2.02 and rampage 8.6. the earlier versions of ID had some real problems with bleeds and crop marks.

Hi Lammy

It's version 3 which is also called Indesign CS that is giving me trouble with Rampage 8.6. Judging by Cory's response I will just wait until we upgrade Rampage to 9.3. Sounds like this will take care of the problem. Thanks.

I did find something interesting today... (Maybe everyone else knew this?)

with indesign CS, Adobe no longer feels the need to bleed out tif files.

so, if you need a ID EPS file that has a tif bleeding, the image will NOT bleed off unless you go back to PS and resave as an EPS.

Or you can manually set a bleed in ID CS (but then your crop marks will no be in the correct place)
