Hey everyone....We just had a CTP system installed and we created a new PPD for Rampage for the plate sizes we use for Preps (3.7)...problem is...we're now getting a solid 4pt vertical black line (registration color) on the left side of all our imposed pages. Did this happen to anyone else? and how did you get rid of it? Thanks in advance! (also posted in Preps forums)

I'm not positive on this, but I think that you always use the 'RampagePPD' that comes on the install disk for preps. The PPD you generate from the platesetter would only be used if you were printing stream postscript to a RIP direct from Preps.

The actual plate sizes then have to be defined in Preps.

In case anyone else runs across this problem, when you switch from film imagesetter to a CTP device, you have to make sure you rip your eps's and fpo's with the CTP device selected rather than the old film imagesetter. Thought it didn't matter, but apparently it is an issue. Thanks for the response and all who viewed!
