just slow, lethargic and a complete waste of time. It doesn't make Quark suck any less.

Well 300+ Mb is rather a lump to install I suppose, it's gonna take time, just is.

Export PDF-X/1a presets, what a concept!!

Shouldn't they have done that with version 7.0, or 7.01, or 7.02, or 7.1, or 7.2? Looks like they are only about 3 years behind the rest of the world.

If you're on the Mac, minimize the installer while it's doing its thing. This speeds up the installer by roughly an order of magnitude. I think that's Apple's fault though -- their installer app updates the display for every file and moves the progress bar a teensy bit. When the app is minimized, it no longer needs to do these screen updates and the installation flies.

Yeah, too bad it has to make 4 or 5 copies of itself in your Temp folder before it actually starts doing anything. 1 of those I'll blame on the Windows Installer technology, the rest are Quark's fault.

Does 7.3 have a turn off color management check box? I'll never "upgrade" it till it does. Been burn already 2x with 4/c blacks in PDF's it creates. My bad for not finding them, but still, it's something I shouldn't have to deal with.
