There was, it was Shelly. Pointyhat ripped her a new one and she deleted all her posts. Quark probably threatened her for posting.

you could always try to postscript out of acrobat and redistill to 1.3

or place the pdf in illy/indy, and pdf out again - works for me.

or do the whole blooming lot in indy and save a few years of your life!

now - i've bashed quack as much as anyone else, but apart from the psd/pdf import issue, so far (touch wood) i've had few issues with 7....but the day is young....i think i've got lucky.

i still prefer indy/cs3 by miles and miles though.

I think you should post at Quark, if for no other reason but to put it out there. You never know, the most intelligent people on those boards are the users, not the employees, there may be some Quark user that has an answer or a workaround. Or perhaps just a little empathy or pity

QTF Quark

I tried getting onto the Quark message boards a few months ago. From what I remember registration for the board required you to fax them your request for registration so that you could post. I did that and got an e-mail back from them but never posted there because it seemed like the whole forum was dead. So I figured my problem out myself but still...

Whatever, Quark can bite me.

Huh? I have posted on the Quark forum, I just did another test post, deleted it, tried to register a new name, and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. No faxing, etc. Did you click the "under 13 years old" link? And there looks like there's pretty decent activity on there now. Don't really remember when I posted last, must've been around v7.0, but there was some activity.

At least I agree with you on the fact that's a bit pointless to post there though.

Unless you like all of the porn spam they seem to get. Can't even keep the spam bots out of their own forums! Gives you a lot of confidence in their abilities eh?

Thanks for the update Cory! I remember Shellie, she seemed to want to help people....but she took a beating on this site though! She seemed well liked in her circles I notice, oh well.

ps: I am not criticizing the beating, FYI.
