Quark 7 file permissions

Has anyone had any problem with the file permissions in Quark 7.

To explain:

I can create a new file on one mac. Save it to a volume on our server. Then when I try to open it on a different mac the permissions for other users are locked.

I have looked at the server (thinking it was a problem with the settings there) but that is fine.

Anyone that can help???
