Quark 7 shadows

Shadows on top of tiff files.
They're cut them up.
And Illust arrow with a Qx shadow and
and Qx oval with shadow on top of tiffs.
Make a PDF any which way and preview, its broken up.
I've tried many many things. VM, over prints, layered them, on and on.

Anyone ever seen this and have a solution?

thanks
rande

not sure I understand all the details, but try resaving the .tiffs as .psd and relink may help?
Also, Export PDF from Q7 (rather than print.ps and distill...)

I did alittle test, it seemed to help alittle. so I'm doing the big one now and that may take a little bit, but I'll let you know.
I haven't used Qx7 much. Do you just place them or need to go thru the PSD import in prefs with a cache of 4000.

Also the files that are chunking up are 72 dpi. I tried jumping this one up a bit to see if that matters.

That did work for the most part. If you look real close it is still stepping alittle but I think I can go for it.
Thanks again.

Does Qx know about this crap?
I'll be checking myself but just wondered what you've heard if anything.

There's definately some history there, but anytime someone from Quack has the cajones to log on, they get flogged by the massive mob of dissappointed Q users (like nearly everyone in this forum) so... take a look at some older threads and see if there's any insight there.
