Quark 7.2 Bleeds? Won't show up in ApogeeX 2.5

Have recently had Quark 7.0 (updated now to 7.2) installed onto my MAC. We have an AGFA ApogeeX 2.5 DTP system. Before in Quark 6.5, I was able to make my page size 8.5 x 11, and add .125" bleeds and send the file directly to PageStore. Now I cannot get any bleeds to show up in Quark 7.0 to go directly to PageStore. I have to make a PDF and add the bleeds to it. Any fixes to this problem besides making a PDF?

I had that problem. The only way I found to make it work is to send the pages with CROP MARKS and bleed. If you send with bleed and no crop marks the bleed does not appear--go figure. However, you'll need to center those pages in X because of the marks. Once centered the pdf marks do not appear only prep marks. If you don't center the page it will be out of center exposing the normalized pdf marks.

Thanks for the tip, jimking, it actually worked! I would like to think that both Agfa and Quark are working together to resolve this issue in a more simplified way.

We have a Mac system, running Nexus 8.1 and Quark 7.2. To get bleeds, in the print dialog window we set the page size to .25" larger than final and then under Bleed we un-check the "Clip at Bleed Edge" box. I think thats a "new" step in the process because when we went to Quark 7.2 we had a bunch of jobs that went to film with no bleeds. We did do the PDF route and/or the add bleed and crop marks thing.

Good news Tamela,
After many months of research and contact with Quark. I found out that Agfa has a patch to resolve this. Here is the information on how to get it:
Agfa has created a hotfix for the Normalizer, as usual this hotfix is free
of charge:

007)
Please contact Agfa Service.
This works and is much better then remembering to write the files .25 bigger. Good luck, I hope that this helps.
