Exporting PDF from Quark 6.5?!

There is something wrong with the way my Quark is handling eps files placed in a document when I export a PDF. The eps images in the pdf either turn into a large black box, or they maintain there shape, but just turn to all black in color. If anyone could give me any insight as to what causes this nonsense, please do.

More information may get you an answer. What platform are you on? How are you making the PDF's? Where did the eps files originate from?

I guess its obvious that I'm new at this, still learning how to form a question.. I'm working on Mac OS 10.4, and some kind of server. I use a Fiery RIP for a Xerox Doc 8000. That doesn't seem to be the issue yet.... I just can't get Quark to output a proper pdf. Pdf settings include: Keep resolution for all options, OPI inactive, and other common settings I've always used and have worked for me. The eps files are Illustrator CS or earlier files.

Straight off the top of my head, I'd res-ave the eps and try again, sorry I can't be more helpful, but it's late UK.

Original question was fine, head over the lounge and check some recent threads, welcome aboard Impress
