Exporting Pdf out of Quark

I am trying to export a pdf that is 40 pages but im trying to just do 1 page for now. Everytime I try I get this error;

The Postscript driver has not responded for 60 seconds. There could be an error or a normal delay caused by the complexity of the layout. Would you like to continue trying?

Every see this.. any workarounds???[/img]

What is the timeout value in the printer settings? Try raising it.

What version of Quark and what OS?

I would definitely use the .ps out of Quark for sure, and try writing it to your desktop, not to a server.

Export Layout as PDF out of Quark 7 does not necessarily equal bad idea.

Not sure what version Lux is using.

im using 6.52 but, i had good success on the first half, but now i figured it out. Everytime i got to export to pdf and quark says there is a font problem, thats when I have the timeout error. I had to go and replace a couple fonts and then it worked. Thanks for everyones input though.

By the way saving to postscript doesnt work that well either. When i go distill larger postscripts it never works... keeps distilling forever and ever.. and never stops until I force quit.
