Output Options> Save to File

Can somebody please tell me if there is any way to set the print dialog to "Output Options, Save as File, Postscript" by default. I have to reset these options every time I want to print a .ps file for ripping or distilling so it would save a lot of time. It would also be really sexy if the page size could automatically be set to the document size adding 1" to both height and width. The bleed is already set in my custom print style for .125".

I have tried a couple of scripts, but since I have to set the page parameters in the print dialog anyway to add the extra 1", it would be nice to just hit the save button.

I have tried setting the PDF preference in Quark to create a .ps file for later distilling, but if I hit the "Save as PDF" button or try to print to PDF, I still get a PDF and not a .ps file. This only works if I do "Export to PDF".

InDesign can be set up to do exactly this, no problem.

Thanks.
Jim

I don't think you'll egt the whole enchilada, but try setting up a print style in Quark. It should get you most of the way there. I've used that option since Quark 4 and find it really helps.
It's found under the edit menu.
