Font issues in Quark 5

I create a pdf from Quark 5 by printing to Adobe pdf writer. All fonts are embedded. I double check through Acrobat to make sure fonts were embedded. They are!
Now I try to import that pdf file back into Quark and the fonts don't display.
This is on the same machine so the fonts are there. Quark also will not display fonts in eps files correctly either. :x
Any ideas?

Do not use PDF Writer - it is a pile of poop!

Write to Postscript and Distill that. See if that makes any difference.

:P boy, that "poop-comment" made me laugh Bart!

Anyway: I think it was originally designed for quick 'n easy creation of "screen only" PDF files from Office applications... And has never been suitable for Print Quality PDF creation.

It wasn't installed with Acrobat 5 anymore, but could (on PC) still be installed in custom installations... It has since (Acro 6) been removed fully.

I agree with Bart about PDF writer.
I almost always make a postscript then take that to distiller.
