Import Wordtext into Quark Express (Workflow)

Is there any way to import Word text into Quark without redoing all the formatting in Quark. I'm thinking of seperating text from Layout. People should be able to send us textfiles (maybe with tags that indicate bold text, colors etc.) Quark should then import the text into a kind of template (where pictures etc. are already placed in) and formate the text.

Does anyone have an idea (mybe XML)?

Thanks for comments...

Phil

I've heard that if you save the Word file as RTF (not as .txt), and use style sheets (in Word), that it should come in formatted like it was in Word. Of course, you have to have the correct extension in Quark for the version of Word you will be using.

Don't do much of this myself, so, try before you buy, your mileage may vary...
