pictures links?

Does anyone know how to "break" the picture links in quark? It used to be that if you renamed or moved a folder it would "lose" it. no is seems no matter what we do Quark still finds them. . . :roll:

move the quark file it self to an unknow location.

tip: remember where you put it, save you lot's of time. i know this from experience.... ops:

I drag the links to the trash and Quark then shows them as missing. OS 9.2.2 Quark 4.1.1 and 5.0

still riski if you don't do it straight away.

we have more people coming, doing something on your machine when you quick go somewhere, and when they trash their stuff again.... flutsch

Yes it is risky but I like living on the edge... :mrgreen:

Seriously though I don't leave the stuff in the trash. I drag the stuff there, do what I need to do and then drag the stuff back. I NEVER get up and walk away if I have something in the trash that I don't want to lose.

there are many reason why you have to relink quark files to the document.

imagine your clinet made correction to some images, but you have to backup the original files as well.

We also need to relink when making varnish files. I duplicate the Quark file hide the original cts and link up to the varnish files than put the original cts back so the color Quark file can see them.
