quark 6.5 export pdf problems

I have been trying to export pdf's from quark 6.5 and I keep getting an error that says the postscript printer has timed out. Quark says its a font problem. through some testing that seems to be true but they want me to move my fonts to my users>lib>fonts folder. I cant do that we have a number of font libraries and thats not an option. has anybody else had this problem?

Instead of Exporting to a PDF try Making a postscript and then running the Postscript through Acrobat Distiller.

This indeed is a font issue. Thats what worked for me whe I contacted Quark.
The made me to replace fonts in the document and it worked.

The above poster is correct.

Quark SUCKS at font handling now, Kern errors and blow outs that just complicate things to no end.

We had to really dumb down our font list to ensure that our files actually print.

It's gotten so bad that we have to Photoshop PDf all customer submitted PDF files due to font issues.

I never had these types of problems with 4 or 5
