It looks like you are using magenta and black, so don't select the 'process trap' option in the trap dialoge box. I believe that will make Quark look at the process colors as spot colors... if I remember correctly!

that's my point exactly, everybody else seem to think that "take it into InDesign" is just that easy :?

we all don't have this unlimited expanse of a software library to call on.

do it in publisher!! ok?ok?dont ban me! I was kidding?':lol:'

if the font is incomplete it may not recreate the shape correctly.

is the type set to "bold" in the style pallette?if it is and you dont have an actual bold font it might not be able to accurately recreate the "bold" outline

ohh hell?just do it in publisher

not that it helps but I had this problem a while back in xpress 3x. It printed totally wrong in a magazine and my boss was non too pleased! (it was a supplied advert )

The only way I could get it right second hit was the illustrator fix - quark didnt do the text to box trick at that time

There was a plugin for Quark 3.3 to convert Text to Box.
