Extracting text from MAC Indesign CS

Is there a way to extract all the text at once into an rtf format? From what I know you have to thread the text boxes together to be able to do this. For larger files where the text boxes are not threaded, this can be time consuming.
Are there any plug-ins for this?

The easiest way I know is to "export" to PDF from InDesign, then "Save As" from Acrobat to RTF works fine you get a MS Word.rtf file (or whatever your rtf program is)
