I have a problem with Quark 6.1, like kn one else does (-:
sometimes the picture box does not retain the link or looses the picture. this happens after i save it seams to dissapear. This is very dishearting when you see it print it and it is not their. HELP PLEASE

We also have this issue in Quark 6.1. It seems to be a problem when utilizing files from our server. Most posts I have read lean toward saving files to the desktop as a solution. We have started saving everything Quark 6.1 to our desktops, then dragging the files back on to the server ? it seems to work. Another annoying little bug that requires a work around.

I have also read that this problem only occurs with older Quark files, but we have had files built in 6.1 lose picture box preview and linkage when saving to our server. I hope this is a fix that will be included with the release of 6.5 (along with many other necessary fixes). Quark's response in reguard to this is that they do not, and never have supported working across a network. Although I never had any of these problems in any previous OS/Quark version. :roll:

Thanks, i will try saving to desktop. I have noticed that the times thy become missing on me is when i step and reapeat the job, the only good thing is i can step it back when i re-open it

I have encountered the same thing and the wierd thing even though the picture is gone - -then info is still there, the x and y, scale. What I do is I always make a duplicate of the job before I work it jsut in case this happend - I can go back to the duped file and copy and paste the photo back in.

This is a known problem... I believe it occurs when opening Quark 4 or 5 docs into 6.1 and saving to a server. as said previously in thread, save locally. more info can be found on the Quark forums. no idea if 6.5 fixed this

Folks, this has been a known issue for a long time with saving Quark 4 & 5 files to Quark 6 and working off a server, all the info you need to workaround it and have a relatively prolem free time like the rest of us is found in the Quark Forum under this heading "?Disappearing Graphics in Quark 6" plenty of posts and workarounds there.
