Still updating modified images one at a time

Is there an Xtension or key command for Quark that will "Update All" modified images??

I've upgraded to Quark v6.1, to realise that this is still a repetitive task which hasn't changed.

Make sure "Auto Picture Import" is checked in your preferences. Save document, close, reopen and pix update without intervention.

u can also shift select. for a long list of images shift select the first one, scroll to bottom and shift select the last one and hit update. same with indesign. cheaper than a plug-in. and option f 13 takes you directly to images.

Yeah, but he'll still have to hit Enter for every image that is modified.

i use a very technologically advanced piece of hardware for my quark updates. It took many years of careful development and thought. What I do to update is complex but I will try and explain.

I select all modified images in my picture usage window then I implement the hardware. I pick up the 'coffee mug' and rest it on the "enter" key. Thus updating automatically all images. You may have to read this a few times before you fully understand the procedure, but please try, you won't be sorry.

I do the "coffee mug" style option on occasion as well.

I also use Badia Full Measure XT.........I guess from reading somebody elses reply badia makes more than one extension with this feature.

It has a little button that says "update all modified".

I couldn't work without this extension now. Got it for Quark 4,5 and 6. You can download a full functioning demo to try it. There are many, many more features on this Xtension....the update all modified is just one.

A piece of tape works well too, thereby freeing up the coffee mug so you can drink coffee while the images are being updated.
