imposition.com the leading imposition software developer and the inventor of digital imposition, announces the release of IMPOSTRIP On Demand v.5.3, now offering you the ability to impose photo formats JPG, PNG and BMP formats, and native imposition of Acrobat 8 PDF.
An increasing number of digital printers are using their high quality presses to produce photos, or specialty photo albums, and they need support for photo formats in their imposition software. Impostrip is the first imposition solution that provides this kind of photo format support. The new release is also the first to support native imposition of Acrobat 8 PDF and PostScript produced from Acrobat 8.
IMPOSTRIP On-Demand is a light weight, easy to use, cost effective and accurate imposition solution for digital presses and small CTP. It is available in different flavors, offering the printer features like hot folder automation, automatic creep calculation based on paper thickness, Dynamic Templates, and much more.
Automation with Dynamic Paper Calculation
Included in this release is Dynamic Paper Calculation, which is the ability to resize the paper based on the number of ups in the template, trim page size, margins, and gutter preferences.
Automation for Variable data printing
Also added in this version is the automatic blank page insertion to automate variable data printing. In an automated mode, Impostrip On-Demand will add blank pages for each record in a file. Drop 200,000 records Optimized PDF file in Impostrip On-Demand Digital Hot Folder and you see each record imposed and completed for print automatically. These tools, associated with other automation features, will save you time and help you streamline your files to your press.
Bar Code creation and positioning
Impostrip On-Demand now offers bar code option for those customers in need to keep track of jobs and pages for each job.
Large format output for offset
To respond to the demand for a simple low-cost automated imposition tool, we now offer larger print formats to accommodate On-Demand printing using CtP. IMPOSTRIP On-Demand v.5.3 now offers an XL option, which allows you to increase your plate size to 40x40, compared to the 30x30 dimensions of the standard package. You will also notice a new preference in the document list window and you are now able to use the sheet size as the media size.
Impostrip On Demand v.5.3 is a free upgrade to users on the Ultimate Annual Support Plan. The XL option, Bar Code generator and Optimized PDF are inexpensive upgrade options.
